“It is alleged that a woman and her grandson (ages unknown) were sleeping when they were woken up by three men who had broken into their house.

“Two of the men pointed firearms at them and ordered them to lie down before tying up their hands with rope,” explains police spokesman Sgt Harry Manaka.

The men then demanded all the cash in the house and also took the family’s clothes, shoes and furniture.

The trio also demanded the keys to the family’s vehicle, a grey Hyundai.
