The sentence was passed down in his last appearance at the Springs Magistrate Court last Monday.
“This follows three charges of kidnapping, pointing an unlicensed firearm and possession of a suspected stolen motor vehicle.

“All three cases reportedly took place in January in the Springs area.
“The young man was also arrested that same month,” says Capt Thabo Sibuyi, KwaThema police spokesman.
Morare was handed a three year sentence for kidnapping, seven years for rape and two years for pointing a firearm.

In addition he got another two for possession of an unlicensed firearm and eight for possession of a suspected stolen motor vehicle.
The sentences, which he will serve at Modderbee Prison, will not run concurrently.
