Celebrating local stars
KwaThema – A KwaThema Legends Tribute Series Gala Dinner will soon take place at the KwaThema Skills Centre.
The event, on December 2, will feature special tribute performances by, inter alia, Joe Nina, Mac Mathunjwa, Makhosonke Mrubata and others.
“On behalf of a coalition of arts and entertainment companies, we are pleased to announce the KwaThema Legends Tribute Series Gala Dinner,” says organiser Sipho Mnyakeni.

“The dinner is designed to be a vehicle to expose the young people of KwaThema and the rest of South Africa, to the string of instrumental individuals and groups.
“These are people originating from KwaThema and making an international impact in various disciplines, such as arts, politics, leadership, sports and fashion among others,” says organiser Sipho Mnyakeni.
In future, this will become an annual event, to appreciate two legends chosen for each year.
Mnyakeni says this year’s session will honour Showman Mokgosi, the lead vocalist of the African Inkspots, and Teenage Dladla, a legendary midfield maestro who worked for Kaizer Chiefs Football Club.

Some of the invited guests are actor Mpho ”Fats” Molepo, Mac Mathunjwa, Joe Nina, Makhosonke Mrubata, Flavoured Melodies, Itu and Thembile, Anathi Mnyakeni and Thembekile Tshabalala.
