Community invited to Coronation Dub

Kwatsaduza – Persecuting Pressure Productions, an NPO in KwaThema, will soon host its second annual Coronation Dub.

The event aimed at celebrating the Rastafarian religion, will take place at the Simunye Park at corner Job Maseko and Thema roads in KwaThema, on November 6 from 11am till late.

According to the couple organising the event, Jah Ahmunah and Nomzingisi Mkhonto, the aim of the event is to bring the local community (young and old) together and to share the significance of the past, present history, culture and religion.

“In addition to celebrating our history, the event is aimed at creating an awareness and celebrating the 86th anniversary of the great Coronation of Emperor Haile Selassie the First and his Empress Menen Asfaw of Ethiopia.

“People will therefore be entertained though music, arts and competitions among other things.

“Everyone is welcome to come irrespective of their religion,” the couple says.

People who are interested in setting up stalls on the day, are encouraged to communicate with organisers before the event.

Entrance will be free, food will be sold, prices will be won, and education and entertainment will be there for the young ones.
