Scholarships for the youth

Tsakane – Youth Development through Investigation and Dissemination of Information (YDIDI) has partnered with iCollege to give the youth of Gauteng an opportunity to further their studies through scholarships.

On Monday, YDIDI held a drive in Tsakane Mall, to raise awareness of the study opportunity that is available for locals to empower themselves through various courses.

Katlego Mabusela, CEO of YDIDI, says they have partnered with the college to give those students who want to study but cannot because of financial constraints, an opportunity to gain a qualification.

“iCollege, in their quest to give back and play an active role in the community, got private companies to sponsor various courses for students who cannot afford them.

“We need 1 500 students to be part of the courses which are SETA approved and are already paid for and for the past few weeks we’ve been holding drives in different parts of Gauteng.

“Students who are granted the opportunity to study will attend at campuses close to them,” explains Mabusela.
