According to police spokesperson Capt Thabo Sibuyi, the teenager was approached by an unknown man who asked her where she was going.

When she told the suspect she was heading to her grandmother’s place, the man insisted they go together to his place and that he would give her money the next morning.
“When the young girl refused the angry suspect hit her with his head and kicked her in her private parts.
“After she fell to the ground, he then undressed her and allegedly raped her,” says Sibuyi.
