Suspects flee with R20 000

Duduza - A business robbery occurred on Friday evening at about 11pm, on Hlatshwayo Street.

And according to police spokesman Cap Johannes Ramphora, it is alleged that the victim (36) was in the tuck shop when he got shot.

The tuck shop also sells liquor.

“There were allegedly three men whom were inside the tuck shop drinking beer and another three standing outside the tuck shop when the victim was closing shop.

“The three men who were inside then allegedly pointed firearms at the victim and demanded money.

“Afterwards the suspects allegedly fired a shot at the victim, which hit him in his right thigh, and took R20 000 cash and a plasma TV and drove off in a bakkie, colour and model unknown,” says Ramphora.

He adds that the victim was taken to Pholosong Hospital by an ambulance for medical treatment.
