Cereal company shows care
KwaThema - Senior citizens of Tsakane and KwaThema will no longer go without breakfast, since a cereal company donated 4 544 boxes of cereal for the elderly.
On Tuesday, Ulwanzi Consulting partnered with other stakeholders to hand over the cereals to senior citizens and treat them to lunch, at Da Venue, in KwaThema.
Thabang Mabuza, from Ulwazi Consulting, explains that this was a flagship project that they undertook as stakeholders, to make sure senior citizens in the community never go without breakfast at home and at their drop-in centres.
He further says that, as a young person from KwaThema, he felt the need to celebrate the elderly of his community, to thank them, as most times they tend to be forgotten.
“We will continue to work together with our partners to make a difference in the lives of our senior citizens,” he adds.
The 320 senior citizens all received hampers to last them till the end of the year.
Newly elected Ekurhuleni Chief Whip Jongizizwe Dlabathi was also present to show his appreciation for senior citizens and to address them.
