Dhlamini dies at 49

KwaThema -Lettie Iris Dhlamini (49) died last Saturday after a short illness.

She was born on July 9, 1967 and taught at Phulong Secondary School in KwaThema for her entire career of 23 years.

Her death comes as a shock to her students and the the community of KwaThema, as she was one of the few master teachers in the Gauteng Department of Education.

Dhlamini was also one of the best Afrikaans teachers at her school before she progressed to produce excellent results in Economics, where she was also a cluster leader.

She is survived by her husband McKenzie Dhlamini, her two sons Melusi and Mzwandile, her two daughters, Delisile and Lethabo, and her sister.

Her funeral service will be held at the new Covenant Christian Centre in Shabangu Street at 8am on Saturday.

After the service, the cortège will leave for the Brakpan Cemetery at 10am where she will be laid to rest.

Graduates are requested to wear their academic regalia.
