Hijacked vehicle recovered in Daveyton

Daveyton - A white Isuzu LDV hijacked in Rustenburg in the North West province, on July 1, has been found.

Upon picking up the signal of the hijacked vehicle on Friday, July 8, around 10am, the tracking company alerted the EMPD Equestrian Unit members who were able to locate the vehicle in Daveyton.

EMPD spokesman Wilfred Kgasago says the white Isuzu LDV was found abandoned and unlocked on a pavement in Seleka Street, Daveyton.

The recovered vehicle was found without number plates and was displaying a special permit.

The vehicle was towed to the SAPS Van Ryn Deep pound in Benoni after the fingerprints were lifted.
