Local church shows care

KwaThema - The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints visited the Thembelisha Clinic, in KwaThema, last Saturday, to render their help through gardening.

The clinic, which services locals, was in need of some gardening service and the church saw fit to offer help.

Through the helping hand programme which the church runs worldwide, they seek to help organisations, orphanages and health facilities that need assistance every year.

President of the church, Collen Radebe, explains that it is their social responsibility to help the community in any way they are able to.

“This is a progressive project, which seeks to alleviate social issues and teach the spirit of ubuntu in the community, helping others and showing care.

“We help anyone who is in need, not only financially, but also through acts of kindness,” he adds.
