Born and bred in Ekurhuleni he says his love of music began when he was 13 years old.
“I got hooked on a popular radio show called Clashes of the Heavy Weight on one of the national radio stations.
“After listening to Vinny Da Vinci’s Deep House, I was inspired to learn how to deejay, but due to lack of resources, only had the opportunity to learn my way around the turntables in 2003.
“I will admit, this was a challenge because I was still in high school, so I learnt to prioritise at a young age,” he says.
He adds that with luck on his side, in 2007 the local community started to appreciate his talent, booking him for parties and weddings.
In 2009 through hard work and perseverance, corporates started taking note of his talent.
“A national company booked me alongside local DJs including DJ Mgiftana, DJ Shimza and DJ Khumza, while another cooperate company also gave me an opportunity to show my talent playing alongside DJ Sbu, DJ Sesh, DJ Moflava and DJ Cool-Ice.
“This was an exciting moment for me, as my mixing skills, further landed me a consistent job at a local lounge in the east of Ekurhuleni in 2010,” he says.
“Finally I was making big moves which attracted the local government to book me too, to provide my service at fan parks around Ekurhuleni during the World Cup, sharing the stage with local hip-hop artist PRO and Thembi Seete,” he says.
Through the help of other locals in Ekurhuleni, DJ Bujar was awarded the platform in 2011, to entertain supporters at Italian events which grew his image and stage presence.
This opened doors for the local entertainer and since then, he has been working with more pubs.
