KwaThema – The police found the body of a man in Tshetlo Street, Vergenoeg on Saturday at 11.30pm.
W/O David Mphali, police spokesman, says the man had a wound to the head and it is believed he was assaulted.
The police called the paramedics who declared the man dead on the scene.
He was wearing an Orlando Pirates jersey and the ID book in his pocket identified him as Patrick Mojalefa (48) from Nyanda Street in Barcelona.
The police believe the deceased visited a nearby tavern before he was killed.
The motive for the murder is unknown.
“We urge the community to assist us in solving the murder case,” he says.
