Residents are urged to ensure that they have sufficient electricity units between 3pm today (Wednesday) and 3pm tomorrow.
According to the metro, the electricity vending system will not be active during this period due to a system update.
While upgrades to the prepaid vending system take place, no prepaid tokens can be bought for 24 hours.
Customers will not be able to purchase pre-paid electricity at walk-in stores or online.
The metro apologises for the inconvenience.
