Youth Day tournament
Duduza - The Duduza Sports Council in partnership with the David Bopape Parliamentary Constituency office will be commemorating the 40th anniversary of the June 16 uprising at the Duduza Sports Complex.
The event will be in the form of a sports tournament where primary schools from around Duduza will engage in different sporting codes such as chess, volleyball, netball and soccer.
Next will be the launch of the annual Matthew Mpahane sports tournament, in honour of the late former national professional soccer league chairperson who played a pivotal role in the development of soccer in the country.
The event will be graced by soccer legends and current stars and political leaders.
A wreath-laying ceremony for the late Mpahane will take place, followed by a fun-walk.
The festivities will run from 10am to 2pm.
