According to police spokesman Capt Petros Mabuza, these men have been spotted mostly around Tsakane and Langaville.
“From information we have received from the community, these men go to around saying that people have problems and that they can pray for them, so everything will be fine,” he says.
“They will tell you to go with them and pray on the cross roads somewhere in the area, then, if you agree, they take you and rob you of your money, laptop, cellphone or any other belongings.”
Mabuza adds that so far two cases have been opened at Tsakane Police Station, hence they urge residents to be aware.
