Orphanage receives donation

Dunnottar - Children at CHANCE orphanage enjoyed a fun-filled day of activities when the Springs Hindu Seva Samaja (SHSS) donated winter hampers and gifts at the home last Sunday.

This formed part of their social responsibility programme which they have annually, where members embark on Seva Day (selfless service or work performed without any reward or payment).

Children created different artwork which is going to be hung in the houses for memories.

Social worker at the home, Keith Mutore says they are very honoured for the generous donation and the children really enjoyed doing the activities and artwork.

“We would like to thank the organisation for the delicious lunch they served the children and for the different donations such as stationery and winter gear.

“The organisation is always welcome to visit us here at CHANCE since we are a family and would like to thank them for their kindness and love towards children,” adds Mutore.

SHSS will be continuing with this responsibility on a regular basis at different homes throughout Gauteng.
