Three wounded during business robbery

KwaThema – A shop owner and two assistants were wounded, following a business robbery that took place last Thursday.

The robbery happened at a shop on Masebeni Street in Marikana, KwaThema at about 1.15pm.

Spokesman of the EMPD, Wilfred Kgasago explains that the four men armed with pistols, in a red Mazda 323 without number plates robbed the business of an undisclosed amount of cash after shooting and wounding the three.

The wounded owner and staff members were then admitted to nearby hospitals for medical treatment and have been reported to be in a stable condition and on their way to recovery, he says.

The police are using the information gathered on the case to apprehend the suspects since the intensive search for the culprits on Thursday drew a blank.
