Speakers aim to motivate and educate

KwaThema – Locals Kabelo Seleme (28) and Tumelo Gama (28) have made it their business to inspire the youth of Kwatsaduza.

Gama, who’s been motivating for a decade and Seleme for six years say they are careful on the topics they speak about.

Mainly speaking to the youth in the community the two speakers focus their talks on education, transformation and mentorship, which they claim are the fundamentals of living a successful life.

Gama strongly believes in the power of education.

As a civil engineering graduate himself he wanted to teach and inspire other learners not to give up on education.

“Every person has a story to share, which can serve as inspiration to the next person.

“All I want to do is inspire especially the youth who are easily misled by their circumstances at the time and peers,” says Gama.

On the other hand Seleme is more passionate on educating the youth to live a purpose-driven life.

“Gama and I complement each other when we speak at gigs, I normally warm up the audience and get them in the mindset of self discovery and living a successful life and Gama closes it off with educational content,” says Seleme.

He further shares the pressures of being a speaker that address young people, who are constantly watching your every move.

“We are setting an example as young men in the community and therefore we have to live by our words because as a young man it can be easy to fall into temptation,” he adds.

The two speakers are currently touring high schools in the community, motivating learners and also providing information about bursary opportunities, internship programmes and other youth development projects.
