Celebrating mothers in Duduza

Duduza - Mothers and daughters gathered together on Mother's Day, at Kabasia Butchery in Duduza, to celebrate the bond which mothers and daughters share.

The event was hosted by Kabasia Butchery and Impande Creative Work, which is a communication and marketing company made up of a diverse and culturally dynamic team who are passionate about women’s issues and motivating women from disadvantaged backgrounds.

Local musicians and poets entertained the young and old women who came out to enjoy the festivities.

A powerful talk was delivered by motivational speaker Tshenollo Molefi, who touched on a number of subjects and the role mothers play in the lives of their daughters and sons.

He also highlighted the vital role women play in communities and organisations.

“We often don’t get a chance to tell our moms that we love and appreciate them; this event has given us a chance to show our mothers we love them,” said Percy Mokiti, who was present with her mother.

Speaking on behalf of Impande Creative Work, Queen Mlangeni said they are thankful to their partners who made the day possible by giving generous contributions.

“We love all the mothers and we wish them a happy Mother’s Day every day,” she said.
