Two behind bars for possession of a stolen motor vehicle

Etwatwa - A light gold Ford Bantam bakkie disappeared from the owner’s yard at around 3am on Thursday, in Alexandra.

”The EMPD Loss Control Unit members managed to track the stolen vehicle to Barcelona Extension 34, in Daveyton, where two male suspects were arrested,” says EMPD spokesman Wilfred Kgasago.

“The stolen vehicle was recovered at around 9am, with a 28-year-old male driving it.

“His accomplice, a 30-year-old man, was also caught, after he was found driving a silver Toyota Corolla, suspected to be the vehicle used during the theft.”

The two suspects were charged at the Etwatwa Police Station, with possession of a stolen motor vehicle, and are expected to appear in the Daveyton Magistrates Court soon.
