Thieves flee with safe

KwaThema - At about 1.20pm on April 15, a bread-truck driver and a delivery man were allegedly robbed by armed suspects.

According to police’s W/O David Mphali, after having delivered the bread earlier on, the men were doing their rounds collecting bread crates in the area when the incident occurred.

The delivery truck was spotted at Raborife in Extension Three by four unknown male suspects who then approached the two employees.

One of the suspects pointed a firearm at the workers, forced the two into the truck, searched it and took a safe with R18 000 in cash and the car keys.

The complainants say all four suspects drove away in a white sedan.

No shots were fired and no one was injured during the incident.

A case of armed robbery was opened at the KwaThema Police Station and if anyone has any information that can assist in this case, they can contact Detective W/O Tshepo Moloi on 011 812 4600.
