Organisation gives back

Kwatsaduza – The Ntsane Masiloane Enrichment Programme (NMEP) is offering free mathematics classes for learners of Kwatsaduza.

This is a token of appreciation for the support the community has given the programme, which has now grown to other parts of the country.

NMEP offers mathematics classes to learners who are struggling with the subject, want to excel and better understand the subject.

All mathematics students in high school are mentored by tutors who make maths fun and easier.

Ntsane Masiloane, founder of the programme, says it has benefited a lot of students who have passed their NSC with an A symbol, so to give back to the community he wants to give support to other learners, who cannot afford to be a part of the programme.

“The programme was birthed in KwaThema and the response from learners and parents has been exceptional,” he says.

“I’d like to thank them by allowing 500 learners to become a part the programme.”

The free classes will resume on May 7, and classes will take place every Saturday. Interested learners may register now, until the end of April.

Only the first 500 will be accepted for the programme.

“Those learners who will be enrolled will also receive a copy of the edutainment DVD ‘The Secret to Outstanding Results’ and the Maths Tree book, which is a guide book that the programme has written to assist learners with the root, stems and branches of mathematics,” says the maths tutor.

Interested candidates may obtain registration forms at Kenneth Masekela Secondary School, in KwaThema, and learners must register with their most recent report cards.

“We need to see their marks in maths, so we know exactly with what we dealing and also to measure the impact we make in their marks,” adds Masiloane.
