GDE improves admission process

Daveyton – On Sunday the Gauteng MEC for Education, Panyaza Lesufi will launch the province’s Online Learner Admission Campaign.

This new initiative is to encourage parents to register their children for the 2017 academic year using a convenient online method.

According to the Gauteng Department of Education, the learner admission period for 2017 will officially start on April 11 and end on September 7.

“The province has phased out the manual admission process to make way for a modernised online process which is more convenient and easily accessible.

“Provision, however, has also been made to assist parents who do not have access to the internet.

“This is in line with the provincial government’s commitment to undertaking radical and decisive action to modernise the manner in which government delivers services to its citizens,” the department says in a statement.

The launch will take place at the Chief Albert Luthuli Primary School, 3233 Mediterranean Sea Street, Chief Luthuli Park in Daveyton at 7am.
