Last year, in August, Makgalemele shared her story with the African Reporter, relating how she was hearing voices telling her to do bad things to herself and her family.
The troubled woman emphasised that this caused pain to her and the family and led her to believing that she was haunted.
“I used to hear these voices daily, wherever I was, and at some point I was convinced that there were evil creatures who were watching my every move,” she said.
This situation, sadly, also caused a rift between her and friends and resulted in some of them abandoning her, believing she was going crazy.
Now, however, things seem to have taken a turn for the better for this mother, as she says although she still sometimes hears the voices, the situation is bearable.
She thanks God, as she claims to have finally been able to find out what was happening to her during that dark period in her life.
“I was discovered that I was inhaling muti from my gate, which appeared to be like gas, hence, at some point I thought I was going to die,” she says.
“Though this is still happening, through the grace of God, I was able to find out that, in addition to hearing voices, there are people who are stalking me and who have hacked my phone.
“Since I was born, this was the first time I had experienced anything like this and it nearly drove me crazy.”
Makgalemele thanks all the pastors, friends, relatives and even those people she does not know, who, she believes, were praying for her, as she says that is what has kept her going.
Makgalemele adds that she will be seeking legal advice to deal with the people who have been stalking her and who have hacked her phone.
