The expo sought to expose young entrepreneurs in the community to the many facets of running a sustainable and profitable business.
Speaker ThokozaneZuma, from Nkatho Consultancy, and many others lined up to engage with the youth a bout their journey to success and to educate them on what makes an entrepreneurs thrive in their different industries.
Bonginkosi Sithole, founder of Khutole Consultancy, explains that he organised the expo because many young entrepreneurs have great ideas but fail to execute them due to lack of knowledge and information.
“We want to create a platform for young people to network and share their ideas but also learn the correct way to run a business.
“Our different speakers unpacked the fundamentals and crucial points that every entrepreneur needs to know before starting a business,” said Sithole.
He further said that the networking session will ensure that entrepreneurs who are already in business get the opportunity to meet and learn from other entrepreneurs present.
“This is a good way for any business person to market their brand and alert other entrepreneurs of the services they render,” he said.
Sithole believes that if young people are motivated and driven, they have the drive to seize opportunities and start their own business.
“Our youth is afraid of the unknown hence it looks like they lack vision and drive.
“We, as entrepreneurs, can never reiterate enough the importance of entrepreneurship and self-development, so we will continue to hold such events for the youth,” said Sithole.
