Spokesman of Tsakane police, Capt Petros Mabuza, says as the police they would like to warn the community of Tsakane Extension Six and 19 to be very careful.
“Vlakfontein and Sonnestraal roads have become hot spots of rape which residents should look out for.
“This comes after two cases of rape were recently reported at our police station.
“For your own safety, we encourage you to avoid walking alone, especially during the daytime and night-times when it is mostly quiet. Rather ask someone you trust to accompany you, and make sure you avoid free lifts from any cars along the way,” he says.
