She started her teaching career at Sifundakhona Combined School, as a private teacher from 1984 to 1986.
Matentshe changed her career when she joined the nursing staff at the Clinton Hospital, in Alberton, then moved to Sunward Park Hospital in Boksburg and, finally, to the Heidelberg Hospital.
She passed away on February 21, after a long illness.
The funeral service will be held on Saturday, February 27, at the Presbyterian Church on the corner of Ramothibe and Masehla streets, in the Masimini Section of KwaThema, with the church service commencing at 9am.
The funeral procession will then proceed to the Vlakfontein Cemetery, at 11am, where Matentshe will be taken to her final resting place.
