According to the Tsakane police spokesperson, Capt Petros Mabuza, this comes after two incidents were reported, where complainants were robbed in their houses after withdrawing money at Tsakane Mall recently.
“It seems as though these incidents are on increase, therefore we ask residents to be more vigilant of their surrounding.
“When leaving the bank, make sure that you are not being followed by people you do not know.
“We also advise that where possible, community members should rather use their debit cards to purchase goods instead of paying with cash or they should rather do money transfers,” he says.
