The suspect is facing a charge of possession of drugs.

Ramphora says the police went to the address on Thursday at 1.10pm, and arrested the escaped suspect at his home in KwaThema.

The suspect will face a further charge of escaping from custody.

Ramphora says three of the six suspects have now been arrested and are back behind bars.

Police launched a manhunt for the six suspects, all held in a single cell, who allegedly overpowered a policeman on duty.

An attempt to apprehend them failed as they ran in different directions.

Two of the three suspects were arrested at their homes in Tsakane and KwaThema shortly after their escape.

The other three suspects are still at large and the search for them continues.
