Promoting black-owned businesses

Kwatsaduza – A Khuthole Business Expo is coming up soon, to help to promote 100 per cent black-owned businesses in the township.

According to Bonginkosi Sithole, of Khuthole Consultancy, they want to teach business owners the importance of documents relating to business, branding, networking, advertising a business, pitching, how to promote a business and selling products and services, because failure to do this is like vision without execution.

“There will be representatives from various banks and people to advise on the registration of businesses, getting grants and knowing how to market a business,” he says.

“The speakers will also advise on how to grow a business, use of resources to make a profit, how to seize opportunities and explain why many business people fail.

“All who are interested in attending the expo should let us know in time, so we can cater correctly.”

He adds that, since they want business people who will attending the expo to put up stalls to promote their businesses, they are asking those interested in this opportunity to contact them.

There will also be an opportunity for the first 10 bookings to do a presentation on their businesses.

Sithole emphasises that this expo does not exclude the working class, as they, too, can operate businesses on the side, to gain their economic freedom.

People who would like to put up stalls can contact Sithole before or on February 19, on 071 785 6248.

The event will be held on March 19, at the Praise and Worship Bible Ministries Church, on the corner of Sasibeni and Mabogwane streets, in KwaThema Extension Two, from 11am to 2pm.
