Boy gone without a trace

Langaville – The mother of 14-year-old Banele Maholela from Langaville Extension Three, Nolufefe Wate is pleading with the community to help her find her missing son.

The teenage boy went missing on January 8, at about 12.45pm while he was playing with his friends in the neighbourhood.

“My son went out to play with some of his friends from around the neighbourhood and that was the last time we saw him.

“His friends say the last time they saw him, he was riding one of their bicycles, and they waited for him to come back but he never returned.

“Later at about 7pm that day, the friend who owns the bicycle came to collect it, only to find that my boy had not returned home,” says Wate.

The worried mother adds that her son is epileptic and he needs to take medication daily, as he normally collapses due to this condition.

He was last seen wearing a blue and black short sleeve t-shirt, blue shorts, red and blue tracksuit top and black flip flops.

The mother adds that since his disappearance no one has seen or heard from her son and she has searched everywhere, including hospitals and mortuaries, but he is not there.

A missing persons case has been opened at the Tsakane and Springs Police Stations.

Anybody with any information on the boy’s whereabouts, can contact the mother on 083 672 1744 or his brother Thami Maholela on 076 895 0187.
