Local teacher dies

Duduza - Gabusi Norah Faith Mashishi (59) died on January 1, after being involved in a car accident.

Mashishi was born on September 17, 1956.

She attended the Mzimkhulu Primary School in Charterston then Zakheni Primary School in Nigel and proceeded to Ndaleni High School in Kwa-Zulu Natal.

Mashishi attended the Madadeni Training Centre before she started teaching at eSibonsiwe Primary School and then later the N.N Ndebele High School.

Mashishi studied further and acquired a secondary educator’s diploma, further education diploma and a secondary educator’s certificate through Vista University.

She leaves behind her only son Sifiso Mashishi and grandson Gosiame Mashishi, her two sisters Sibongile Mdaki and Lindi Shabalala, and three brothers Moss Mashishi, Humphrey Nkosi and Sibusiso Nkosi.

The funeral service will be held at the Duduza Dutch Reformed Church, in Mthethwa Street from 7.30am and the cortege will leave for the Nigel Cemetery at 10am.
