Finger puppet fun

Making finger puppets can be fun for the whole family and it can keep the younger children busy.

It is a simple way of spending time with the children and also to keep them entertained.

Only a few different colours of felt, hot glue, google eyes, and a choice of other materials needed such as ribbons or buttons depending on what subject is going to be made.

When the choice falls on animals or a favourite Disney character, then the colour of the felt should match the characters.

Making a panda bear is very easy.

Follow the step by step instructions:

  • Draw a picture of a panda.

Make sure to draw the ears, arms, eyes and other body parts separately to cut out the pattern.

  • Cut the shapes from felt.

Two matching “body” shapes, then cut out the ear shapes, a nose and any other details needed.

  • First glue on the ears to one body shape.

It is best to put the glue all the way round the edges of one piece of felt and then lay a lolly stick in the centre as shown.

  • Place the other body piece on top of the glue and press firmly.
  • Lastly glue on the eyes, nose and any other details needed.

It is possible to make any animal or character of choice, but don’t forget to have fun while creating them.
