Duduza Primary School gets new enrichment centre

Duduza – The Duduza Primary School officially launched their Kip McGrath Enrichment Centre last Wednesday.

The centre is a remedial centre for children with learning problems and children who need to improve their performance.

The occasion was graced by Kip McGrath Australia representative chief executive officer Storm McGrath, director of Kip McGrath Australia James Street, Kip McGrath South African managing directors Brian Sleigh and Retha Sleigh and managing director of Shaping the Learner Gerald Williams.

Also present were the school governing body members, parents, teachers and learners.

According to school principal Nhlanhla Zulu, Duduza Primary School is among the schools that were declared full service schools in the Gauteng East District.

A full service school is one that caters for all learning styles of children.

“Therefore the school has engaged in a partnership with Kip McGrath and Shaping the Learner to address the different learning styles and needs of learners.

“The Kip McGrath Enrichment Centre has been established in our school to overcome illiteracy and innumeracy, as well as building the learners’ self-esteem.

“As a school, and including all the stakeholders, we are extremely excited because all learners will benefit when attending our school,” he says.
