Tuck shop owner wins big

Tsakane - Local tuck shop owner Chris Nkosi won a bakkie last Thursday after entering a competition run by a national bakery.

He is one of three tuck shop owners from Ekurhuleni to win a bakkie.

The competition targeted at tuck shop owners operating in Daveyton, Tsakane and Tembisa.

Participants were required to purchase 100 loaves of bread from the bakery in order to enter, the more loaves ordered by the tuck shop the better their chances of winning.

Nkosi says he is overwhelmed and still can’t believe that he won the competition.

“I want to thank my customers who come and support me on a daily basis. I wouldn’t have won if they weren’t coming to buy from me,” he says.

He adds that the new bakkie will help him with buying stock for his tuck shop and running other errands.

Speaking on behalf of the bakery, Qiniselani Memela says they would like to thank the general traders for their continued customer loyalty and support.

“We believe in the success of the general trader’s business, which, in turn, is also the success of the bakery,” says Memela.
