Ximba nominated in SA Men of the Year Awards
KwaThema – Innocent Ximba (19), who is a self-proclaimed motivational speaker and entrepreneur, has made it into the top three of the South African Men of Year Awards, in the Youth Developer category.
Ximba describes himself as a community developer, South Africa’s youngest professional motivational speaker, an entrepreneur and the ambassador of the Thabang Xaba Foundation.
The young man is thrilled about the achievement, although he admits to being extremely nervous.
“It’s only my fourth year in the business of motivational speaking and I feel it it still too soon in my career for such awards,” he says.
Ximba was nominated by Thabang Mashigo, to whom he is thankful.
“A small team of delegates searched for men making a difference in the country, then names were nominated and after that people started voting.
“From that stage, there was a selection of the top three nominations, and I made it through, which I thank God for,” he says.
Ximba adds that upon finding out about the nomination, he asked himself if this was possible as he feels he is still so young, but he has faith that he can bring this award home, through the support of family, friends and the community.
The awards ceremony will be held at Emperors Palace on November 30.
