Masibambane Men’s Society officially launched

Langaville – Masibambane Men’s Society formally launched their organisation and unveiled its new uniform to the public at a celebration which took place at Langaville in Extension 10 on Sunday.

The group invited other societies such as the Thandani Women’s Club, Helping Hand and Bambanani Women’s Club, to celebrate with them as they normally work together.

Chairperson of Masibambane, Petros Ngubo, says they started the society in February, last year, as a way of uniting the men in the area.

To date, the society has registered 22 members from the Marikana area in Langaville.

Secretary Tshepiso Mondlane says the purpose of forming this group was to also eradicate inequality in the area, as some of the families are poor while others are able to provide for themselves.

“We wanted to have a group where we are able to help each other as men, especially during difficult times like death.

“Another reason was to eradicate the issue of crime in this area, and because now we know each other, it is easy to work together.

“Through this, we hope to create a legacy, especially for our children and in the long run we hope we can start being able to assist even those members who are employed,” says Mondlane.
