According to founder of the college, Bongi Nkosi-Sibeko, RSN College/Siyafunda Community Technology Centre has targeted the development of computer literacy skills for women and girls in disadvantaged areas.
“The programme gives women, youth and co-operatives in disadvantaged communities, the basic skills needed to either start micro-businesses or simply to enter the job market.
“It is also unique in that the lessons are self-taught, with the trainer acting as a guide and coach and the programme is flexible to cater for different needs and skill levels,” says Nkosi-Sibeko.
Motivational speakers were entrepreneurs from the Black Business Chamber of Commerce and Industry.
