According to Tsakane police spokesman Capt Petros Mabuza, the police received information from a member of the community.
He says the suspect tried to run away when he saw the police, but they managed to catch him and he was found in possession of a firearm and ammunition.
He will appear soon at Tsakane Magistrates Court, on a charge of possession of an unlicensed firearm and ammunition.
