Company donates to school
KwaThema - Last Friday the Toms from China company donated shoes to all the learners of Lefa Ifa Secondary School in KwaThema.
The donation was made possible by The Queen of Hearts Circle who work hand-in-hand with the KwaThema Church of Nazarene to get donors and sponsors for schools and organisations that need assistance with various necessities.
Valencia Tsotetsi (31), a member of the church explained that this was a project that they have been working on and she is happy that the learners finally got their shoes.
“It gives us pleasure as a church that we are able to help so many children in the community and we plan on doing more projects with the school,” says Tsotetsi.
School principal, Mbuyiseni Xumalo (57), says that the generous donation made by the company will help many learners, who are disadvantaged, to get a new pair of shoes.
“Many of our learners come from disadvantaged families and owning a new pair of shoes is a big thing to them, I’m happy that all the school learners were recipients of the shoes,” says Xumalo.
