Springs police spokesman Capt Johannes Ramphora says the incident took place in Daggafontein at around 9pm.
He says the suspect assaulted and chased his 29-year-old pregnant wife out of their home.
Ramphora says the suspect threatened to kill his wife if she didn’t leave.
Police were called to the scene and the suspect was arrested for common assault.
