An EMPD officer made the arrest in Daveyton where the suspect is alleged to reside.
Mkwanazi, never made it home to her husband, on July 10, in Extension five in Tskakane after visiting her parents’ home in Geluksdal.
Mkwanazi’s body was discovered the next day in an open stand near her workplace in Tsakane.
A case of kidnapping and murder was opened at the Tsakane Police Station.
Tsakane Police Station commander, Petros Shilane, said that the investigation lead them to the suspect and that all the witnesses point to him.
He made his first appearance in court on July 20, where a detailed bail application was reviewed.
His bail application has been postponed for July, 28.
