Classrooms painted and rewired for Mandela Day

Duduza - M.O.M Seboni Secondary School was refurbished by MNS Attorneys and Arengo 6 on Mandela Day.

The two companies sponsored material for the rewiring and painting of 14 classrooms.
Mncedisi Ndlovu (50), MNS Attorneys chairperson, explained the importance of giving back to the community and learners because they need an adequate learning environment.
“Since MNS Attorneys has also adopted the school’s feeding scheme, it was easy for us to come and refurbish the school for Mandela Day,” he said.
The school governing body (SGB), teachers and learners were all involved in the cleaning and painting of the classrooms.
SGB chairperson and educator Khotso Ramatema (40) said he is pleased that the learners and parents were also part and parcel of the renovations and he hopes
that both the learners and their parents will continue to be involved in the school.
“We need to work together with the parents and learners to keep our school in a good condition and to stop the vandalism of school property,” said Ramatema.
A computer was donated to the school library and books will be brought in at a later stage.
School principal Sylvester Ndebele (56) said he is more than grateful for everyone’s generous deeds and contributions to the upkeep of the school.
“We appreciate the people who took time to come and spend their day at our school, to help out with the revamping,” he added.
