Groceries donated to senior citizens
Tsakane- Tshipi Noto Funeral Home donated groceries and toiletries to the elderly at the Tsakane Old Age Home on Tuesday.
The donation was a token of giving back to the community and celebrating Mandela Day.
General manager of Tshipi Noto Raymond Goromonzi (40) says that the business wants to show that the elders are not forgotten.
“Senior citizens are the most important people in the country and we want to show them love and appreciation,” he explains, adding that they will continue to work with the old age home on future projects.
Tshipi Noto committed to cleaning the old age home and preparing lunch for the residents.
Phoko Mokubung (45), centre manager, expresses his gratitude for the good deed the funeral home has done for the elderly and the centre.
“We, as the staff at the old age home, are happy and grateful for the generous donations and the time spent here by the members of Tshipi Noto,” he says.
