Tsakane CPF gets new uniforms

Tsakane - The Tsakane Community Police Forum (CPF) received new uniforms on Monday, July 20.

The 50 patrol jackets were donated to the patrollers by a company in Springs.

CPF chairman, Boetie Moladira said the new uniform will enable the patrollers to be easily recognisable, to the community, during their voluntary patrols around the township.

According to Moladira, the old uniforms were not in a good condition and the community found it difficult to recognise the CPF members on their patrols.

“The new uniform will bring back our dignity and the community will now take our job seriously,” he said.

Station commander Lieutenant Colonel Petros Shilane thanked the company for their donation.

“We appreciate that there are companies who recognise the hard and voluntarily work done by the patrollers to keep our communities safe,” said Shilane.

Vaughn Wood from the company agreed that the patrollers are doing a great job of keeping the community safe. He said his company saw the need to donate something that will not only benefit the patrollers but also the Kwatsaduza community.

“We understand that the work done by the patrollers is difficult and undermined by others within the community. We donated the jackets to encourage the patrollers to continue with their good work,” said Wood.

He concluded by encouraging the patrollers to continue to guarantee the community’s safety.
