Women hijacked by armed gang

Tsakane - Police are looking for four men who hijacked two women along Black Road on Wednesday at around 10am.

Tsakane police spokesman Capt Petros Mabuza says the victims were travelling in a black VW Chico when a white Toyota Conquest suddenly stopped in front of them.

He says a black Polo Vivo also stopped behind the victims’ car and two armed men alighted this vehicle, pointed guns at the women and forced them out of the car.

“One suspect from the Toyota Conquest allegedly jumped inside the victims’ car and drove off,” says Mabuza.

He says police suspect the Polo Vivo was involved in a shooting incident along Vlakfontein Road at around 8am last Monday, where the driver of a white Toyota Hilux bakkie sustained injuries to his feet.

He was taken to the Pholosong Hospital for treatment.

No shots were fired in the latest incident and police are investigating a case of hijacking
