Angry patrollers seek way forward

Duduza- Last Friday, the Duduza Community Policing Forum (CPF) cluster took to the streets to protest against the alleged corruption within the forum.

To their dismay, the protest was declared illegal, due to a number of factors that the SAPS could not disclose.

A delegation appointed by the dissatisfied patrollers met with the SAPS on the Friday morning, to discuss a way forward and to seek the reasons why they were not allowed to deliver a memorandum of their grievances.

CPF convener Sibusiso Thuso (23) says they are waiting on the SAPS to get back to them in the next 14 days, so they may know the way forward.

“We are unhappy with the present situation within our structure and something needs to be done,” adds Thuso.
