The break-in took place at an address in Malopane Street on Monday at around 10pm.
According to KwaThema police spokesman Capt Mandla Phori, the complainant was asleep when he was awakened by his wife after she heard a loud noise in the dining room.
Phori says the complainant got up to investigate and noticed the TV was gone.
“The robber gained entry by smashing a window,” he says.
The man was arrested the following day.
