New road in KwaThema
KwaThema - A new road is being built in KwaThema Extension Six, in Ndungwana Street.
Community member Gloria Dlamini says she is pleased with the new road, as it was a challenge for motorists who have to use the street on a daily basis.
She says dust has also been a problem in their houses during windy seasons for the last 10 years, during which she has been living in the area, but, with the new road, there will now be cleanliness.
Ward 78’s Clr Ivy Nkosi says the contractor was appointed by the metro and began work in March, but delays were encountered due to a ground water pathway that had to be redeveloped in Ndungwana Street.
